UK Guns N Roses are indisputably the Top Guns N Roses Tribute. The band is very proud to be widely recognized by fans, music critics and venue owners, to be the very best at what they do. For the masses of Guns N' Roses fans, UK Guns N’ Roses are also regarded as a very real alternative to the now disbanded Guns N Roses. Erja Lyytinen

Erja Lyytinen

Tuesday 26th September

ERJA LYYTINEN Voted #1 International Solo Artist, Blues Matters Writer’s Poll 2015 Voted Artist of the Year, Finnish Blues Awards 2015 Since first entering a recording studio some 15 years ago, singer/guitarist Erja Lyytinen has become a bona fide star in her homeland and a fixture on the international music scene. In that time, “the Finnish slide goddess” (The Blues Magazine) has recorded in places as diverse as Helsinki, London and Memphis, earning numerous accolades along the way. Rooted in both traditional and modern blues, she successfully blends styles like jazz, pop, soul and rock into a sound all her own. Celebrated slide guitar master Sonny Landreth, upon discovering Lyytinen’s music recently, remarked: “I sure enjoyed her guitar skills. She’s obviously made a big name for herself. Things are going well for her and for good reason.” Born into a musical family in the town of Kuopio, Lyytinen quickly emerged as an artist to watch in her native country. She recorded her international debut Pilgrimage after signing with Germany’s prestigious Ruf Records label in 2005. The 2006 Blues Caravan tour gave audiences in Europe and the United States a first taste of her spirited live performances. The solo follow-up Dreamland Blues took her back to the USA to record with David and Kinney Kimbrough (sons of Mississippi blues legend Junior Kimbrough). After two years on the road, she returned with Grip of the Blues in 2008, mixing hard-edged blues with modern R&B. Her 2010 release Voracious Love was even more adventurous: The lavishly orchestrated “Bed of Roses” – featuring contributions from Marco Hietala (Nightwish) on vocals and Apocalyptica cellist Paavo Lötjönen – showed once and for all that Lyytinen is unafraid to push the stylistic envelope. With 2013’s Forbidden Fruit, she returned to more familiar territory. Canada’s Blues Underground Network chose The Sky Is Crying as Best European Blues Album and Best Tribute Album of 2014. It also placed in the top three international albums of 2014 as chosen by writers at Britain’s Blues Matters, who also honored Erja as the #2 international solo artist. The Elmore James tribute The Sky Is Crying proved to be a breakthrough. Released in 2014, it was universally hailed as her best and bluesiest recording to date. This collection of stripped-down, old-school blues convinced even the most discerning listeners that Lyytinen’s feel for the blues runs deep and that as a slide player, she has few peers. Live in London, a sizzling live set of Elmore James covers and original material released a year later, culminated with Erja being voted the #1 international solo artist by Blues Matters and Artist of the Year at the Finnish Blues Awards. For her latest studio album Stolen Hearts, set for release in early 2017, Lyytinen convened a talented group of musicians in Helsinki in the summer of 2016, then ventured to London’s State of the Ark Studios to record with multi-platinum selling engineer and producer Chris Kimsey, known above all for his contributions to classic Rolling Stones albums like Sticky Fingers and Some Girls. In fact, Stolen Hearts was mixed on the very same EMI console Kimsey had often used with the Stones. “Chris said it was like meeting an old girlfriend after many years. He sat in front of the desk and his magic started to happen.” Mastering was completed at Air Studios Mastering (part of the world-famous Air Studios started by Beatles producer George Martin) by Ray Staff, whose credits include iconic rock albums such as David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and Mott The Hoople’s All The Young Dudes.

An Evening With Slaid Cleaves

An Evening With Slaid Cleaves

Sunday 01st October

Slaid Cleaves' online biography says that he “Grew up in Maine. Lives in Texas. Writes songs. Makes records. Travels around. Tries to be good.” The simplicity of the statement disguises the fact that he's one of the most highly respected and talented songwriters in modern America, with a string of terrific releases and a devoted fanbase. Performing songs that can be funny, insightful, sensitive and hard-hitting, sometimes all at the same time, he’s one of the few contemporary musicians who can be fairly compared to old masters like Woody Guthrie. A truly mesmerising performer. “A master craftsman on the order of Guy Clark and John Prine” – Austin Chronicle. “A magical performance from one of the best songwriters in the game” – No Depression

Fronted by founding member Thijs Van Leer, and best known for their hits “Hocus Pocus”, “House of The King” and “Sylvia”, as well as critically acclaimed albums 'Moving Waves', 'Focus 3' and 'Hamburger Concerto', the iconic Dutch music masters are back with their tenth album, which is guaranteed to please their legions of fans!   After a comeback in the early 2000's, which resulted in the well-received albums 'Focus 8' and 'Focus 9', the band regrouped with a fantastic new line-up. Skinny Molly

Skinny Molly

Wednesday 18th October

Skinny Molly was founded in 2004 by guitarist/vocalist Mike Estes (formerly of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot), Dave Hlubek (founding member of Molly Hatchet) and Nashville, TN studio drummer Kurt Pietro. Originally put together to do a one-off tour of Europe in 2004, Skinny Molly has, thirteen years later, become one of the hardest working and popular rock bands to come out of the southern United States. Solidifying the current lineup in 2007, the band boasts guitarist Jay Johnson (formerly of Blackfoot/Rossington Band), and Grand Ole Opry stalwart bassist Luke Bradshaw. This lineup has toured relentlessly; their first jaunt found them crossing three continents in 30 days on the strength of their debut CD "No Good Deed", Constant gigging has established them as "The band from the South to see" at festivals and clubs across Europe as well as at home in the States.

The Sadies

The Sadies

Sunday 29th October

Recently described as the Swiss Army knife of rock music, The Sadies do lots of things unbelievably well – sometimes in the space of the same song. An acid folk country punk Ennio Morricone influenced amalgamation of styles doesn’t even come close to describing their unique sound. Their last album, Northern Passages was a masterpiece, and the question that their fans puzzle over is that why is a band this good so little known? Never mind. The initiated will be thrilled by the fact that they’re back better than ever. Simon McBride

Simon McBride

Monday 13th November

“The Holy Trinity of Belfast rock ‘n roll – Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher & Gary Moore – might just be on the verge of becoming a four-leaf clover.” PERFORMER MAGAZINE USA   After back-pedalling on his solo career to start a family, Simon McBride “the man who everyone wants in their band” is back on the road with his own jet-fuelled outfit.   The turn of 2016 saw McBride touring with Ian Gillan, filling the shoes of Ritchie Blackmore in a programme of Deep Purple songs that played across Europe. The first half of 2017 has him touring with uber-keyboardist Don Airey (another member of Deep Purple), followed by an outing with Whitesnake offshoot, Snakecharmer.   With his band of fellow Irishmen Marty McCloskey (drums) and Dave Marks (bass) Simon delivers his own distinctive songs (“Hugely accomplished” MOJO) along with crowd-pleasers from the likes of Hendrix and Free plus of course, explosive guitar playing!   His guitar skills (“Among the best blues-rock players anywhere in the world” GUITARIST) have made him a go-to guitarist on the British Blues-rock scene, admired among professionals, followed by enthusiasts, and endorsed by some of the biggest brands on the guitar scene.   Rewind to the early nineties and you didn’t have to squint to spot future greatness in the unassuming kid from Belfast, who picked up his first guitar at ten, eschewing formal lessons to bend his fingers around the music of Free, Jeff Beck and Hendrix. At 16 he turned pro, leaving education behind to wow the world as a hired gun in projects that ranged from filling Vivian Campbell’s shoes in Sweet Savage, to R&B and soul with ex-Commitments vocalist Andrew Strong. Touring in his own right he has supported Joe Satriani, Jeff Beck and Joe Bonamassa and played major festivals around Europe.

Not only is she only a great vocalist in her own right, but she’s also the daughter of the legendary guitarist and singer Steve Marriott (Small Faces, Humble Pie). She’s part of rock royalty. It will be great to have Mollie touring with us. She’s got a killer voice. It’s going to be a lot of fun.” Mollie Marriott, daughter of former Small Faces and Humble Pie singer/guitarist Steve Marriott and step-daughter to singer Joe Brown has spent her music career in the wings, having worked mostly as a backing singer with numerous artists including Oasis and Joe Brown.   Mollie’s sassy soulful blues vocals are full of classic influences. Samantha Fish

Samantha Fish

Tuesday 21st November

Whether one leans towards the blues, opts for Americana or ignites some special fervour by playing with a garage band, there’s a common bond that suggests a reverence for the roots. Looking back towards an earlier template -- no matter what the genre -- proves the point that appreciating what came before can be a stepping stone for what comes next.   Samantha Fish knows that all too well, and it’s been evidenced in the music she’s made her entire career. While she’s well known as a purveyor of blues, having been lauded by such legends as Buddy Guy, the Royal Southern Brotherhood and Luther Dickinson, her real love is simply raw, scrappy rock and roll. “I grew up on it,” she insists. “Working with Luther on my last album further instilled that spirit in me. It made me realize just how much that basic, unfettered sound means to me, and how well it ties into soul music, R&B, country and so many other forms of music that are essential even today.”   It’s little wonder that when it came time to record her new album, Chills & Fever (released March 17, 2017), Fish set her sights on Detroit, the home of soul, Motown, legendary R&B as well as the much edgier rock-n-roll of Iggy Pop, Jack White, and The White Stripes. It was there that she joined forces with members of the Detroit Cobras, a band whose insurgent ethic has made them darlings of the Midwest punk/blues scene. The two entities -- which included Joe Mazzola on guitar, Steve Nawara on bass, Kenny Tudrick on drums with Bob Mervak on keys, and the New Orleans horn section featuring Mark Levron and Travis Blotsky on trumpet and saxophone -- bonded over a common love of classic soul and rollicking rhythms, so much so that the results testify to a seemingly timeless template. Covering songs from the ‘60s and ‘70s -- indelible melodies from the pens of legends like Jackie DeShannon, Jerry Ragavoy, Bert Berns and Allen Toussaint -- along with producer Bobby Harlow (King Tuff, The Gap Dream, White Fang) a member of the Detroit band The Go, which also featured Jack White prior to his stint with the White Stripes. With that as her starting point, Fish and the band then created an album that’s best described as a pure slab of rocking rhythm n’ blues.

A desire in each member to replicate what made queen so special and to bring back some of the live magic that made Queen the international super-group it is today.   Soon to enter their 45th year, Queen have amassed a huge back catalogue of hit records, there’s just so many to chose from and it’s hard work constructing a show that captures Queen’s creative history in such a short amount of stage time but we guarantee the show to be a none stop jukebox of the very best of Queen, hit after hit, anthem after anthem, with audience participation at a high from the very start.   All Flash band members have been creatively and technically inspired by Queen, each taking satisfaction and pride in producing this ultimate tribute to Queen each playing replica equipment adding that little extra sound characteristic and all performed in authentic costumes making it a show to remember.

Chantel McGregor

Chantel McGregor

Sunday 10th December

A female guitar prodigy, at fourteen Chantel was told by major labels that she had a "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!"  Wisely ignoring the comments, she enrolled at the Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college’s history, to achieve a 100% pass mark, with 18 distinctions.  Chantel left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music and a coveted prize, the college’s musician of the year award.   In previous years, Chantel stepped out in the pro-musician world and her stunning live performances demonstrated that she had the ability to perform rock for the new age, played by a musician born with an effortless virtuosity.  Since then, she has built a loyal and growing fan base who follow her every move.   If you measure an artist’s prospects by the company they keep, then Chantel has been moving in the right direction. Early in her career, Chantel was invited to perform with Joe Bonamassa, on two of his UK tours.    When Chantel released her 2011 debut album, Like No Other, one critic said, “Chantel McGregor deserves to be held up as a messiah of blues-rock and given her own mountain. She doesn't strum or pick her guitar but almost bends and distorts it, as if she's channelling the ghost of Hendrix through her fingers"     The album was produced by Livingstone Brown, whose production credits include Ed Sheeran, Robin Trower, and Shakira. The end result was a beautifully crafted debut album that showcased Chantel’s versatility and talent as a singer-songwriter.     Chantel’s follow up album, Like Control, again produced by Livingstone Brown, was released in October 2015 to critical acclaim.   Support from The Luke Doherty Band The award winning Blues Rock Guitarist, Luke Doherty, started playing Festivals when he was twelve years old, and 10 years later, he hasn’t looked back. After achieving a Rock School first, 2 grade 8’s by the age of 11, it lead to many Newspaper and Radio interviews. While Luke was Ploughing his was through his grades, he was encouraged to record his version of Parisian Walkways of which Gary Moore had a copy. Luke has gone on to play numerous Festivals, Blues Clubs and Music Venues up and down the Country, including the Legendary Cambridge Rock Festival, 100 club London and Upton Blues Festival, to name a few.

Jess and the Bandits

Wednesday 14th February

Media favourites Jess and the Bandits are a phenomenon. Fronted by Texan vocalist and songwriter Jessica Clemmons, they’ve set the Americana scene alight over the last few years, winning awards and acclaim galore. High octane country rock of the finest type, with blast furnace vocals and unforgettable songs, their début album, Here We Go Again, was described by Nashville Over Here as “A fun, melodic roller coaster mix of country rock and ballads”, and by Gay Times as “Like Shania at her trashiest or a whiskey-drunk Kelly Clarkson, these songs have the swagger of bad women and even worse men.” Their new release Smoke and Mirrors takes over where the last one left off, and confirms their reputation as one of the brightest bands around.
