Eilen Jewell & Band with support from Megan Henwood - Tickets £13 Advance STBF / Door £15 STBF

Following on from her hugely successful UK tour last year Boise Idaho born songstress Eilen (rhymes with feelin’) Jewell returns to these shores in October.  In conjunction with her fabulous band, Jewell will be performing at The Tunnels n Bristol. Jewell, whose unique brand of old-time country stylings mixed with R’n‘R and Rockabilly has left audiences drooling in her wake, takes a slightly different tack this year. The band have been working on a side project and under the name ’Butcher Holler’ release an album of Loretta Lynn covers on Signature records in July. Based upon their ability to reinterpret classic material e.g. Johnny Kidd’s  ’Shakin all over’ this album is sure to complement her outstanding show.

Monday 04th October Doors open 7.30pm

£13.00 per ticket

(subject to booking fee)

No doubt the Bristol audience will be in for a treat as she weaves her way between her back catalogue and new material. Her long time band is a quartet of the very highest calibre with Eilen taking vocals and acoustic guitar, the exceptional Jerry Miller on electric guitars, with Jason Beek and Johnny Sciascia providing drums & harmony vocals and upright bass respectively. There’s genuinely no-one out there treading the same musical ground as Eilen Jewell, and that alone makes her stand out – add in her quality song writing and vocals alongside some of the best musicians around, and it makes for a compelling and rewarding show.

Tickets £13 via Bristol Ticket Shop – www.bristolticketshop.co.uk – Tel 0870 4444 400 or £15 at the door

Opening for Eilen will be the very talented Megan Henwood who won last years BBC RADIO 2 Young Folk Award beating off strong competition in the final at Queen Elizabeth Hall on London‟s Southbank, just before her 21st birthday.
“This singer doesn't play nu-folk, freak-folk, psych-folk, acid-folk or alt-folk. Just folk. Pure and simple. Innocent and good”.- The Guardian
